Many Crystal Palace fans have remembered the great Don Rogers after the club’s Twitter account posted a video of one of his many great goals.
With Don Rogers turning 74 today, the club reminded its fanbase of the brilliant winger by sharing a video of him beating a number of players on a muddy pitch before poking home the finish.
The left-winger is considered by many Palace fans as a ‘legend’ despite playing less than 100 games over less than three seasons at the club. His stats speak for themselves though, with Rogers scoring 15 goals both in the 72/73 season and the 73/74 season, according to Holmesdale.net, despite being a winger.
Many Palace fans will also remember Don Rogers for his sublime performance in Crystal Palace’s 5-0 win over Manchester United in 1972. The silky dribbler managed to score two goals in the game with two sublime bits of dribbling – as you can see from this YouTube video.
